Red cabbage salad
There is beauty in simplicity. And in this case it's beauty combined with a great amount of vitamins - C, K, E, B, folic acid, pantoten, betakaroten, and also important minerals such as, potassium, molybdenum, magnesium. iron, calcium and zinc! To top it off, the simplicity and speed of preparing this salad is invaluable.
Ingredients
- cabbage - 1 kg
- Ingredients for the dressing:
- orange - 2 pcs
- lemon or lime - 1 piece
- oil - 1 - 2 tblspns
- Honey - 1 tblspns
- salt and pepper
- parsley or leek - for decoration

Result: 5 - 8 portions
1. First I prepare the cabbage for cutting. Remove 2 uppermost leaves, half them, cut out the stalk and cut the cabbage to thin noodles, put in bowl and use salt and pepper. 2. Next up is the dressing, which I prepare in a separate bowl. Stir the juice from the oranges, lemon, oil and honey thoroughly. Add the dressing to the cabbage and shuffle with hands. The resulting tasty treat does not need to remain as a side. You can mix this recipe up with carrot, leek, fruits, nuts or cheese.
It is important to note that cabbage is a gassy food and not everybody will be able to handle it easily. So I offer another option that is equally healthy and beneficial to your body, however it will require a bit more patience. This one is called pickles and it takes some time to ferment in a ceramic jar. I will add it later in the raw food section, of which I am a huge fan.
