Spinach quiche
This idea came up as a result of 2 wishes - one of them being spinach with masala and the other salty pie. But at the same time I needed to cook vegetable soup! And besides that, there were a lot of chores to be done and some other business as well. So to save time I started cooking the soup and in the meantime prepared the dough for the pie. I mixed the defrosted spinach with the dough and that was it, no shaping of the corpus or preparation of some forms necessary!
Ingredients
- Ingredients for the dough:
- butter - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 4 L
- cottage cheese - 100 g
- salt - preferece
- soda - pinch
- Almond flour - 2 cups
- Ingredients for spinach:
- spinach - frozen (750 g Bonduelle)
- kari (masálá) - 1 teaspn
- oil - 5 tblpsn
- salt - preference
- pepper - preference
- garlic - 1 - 2 cloves
Instructions
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 17 minutes / 125 °C / 650 W
Result: 12 portions
1. Defrost the spinach in a pan. Add salt, pepper, oil and stew for a while with kari.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the dough. It will be runny, mix it with spinach and garlic strips, pour it on crisp plate with cooking paper and bake in a preheated oven. You can add scallion or seared onion, or if you like, prosciuto crudo (no dextrose allowed!). This specific guide is mainly for those in the beginning phase of SCD - without gassy and irritable ingredients. Later on you can use variety.
P.S.: As I stated in masala spinach, pay attention when choosing what frozen spinach you buy. I intentionally specified which one I use. I am not paid by the company or anything, it's just easiest to work with and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is a bit more expensive, but there is more of it and most of all it's a real quality product. You will see yourself when you use it.
